The Free Baronies are dozens of small states. For centuries they have defended their independence from ancient Empires (and from each other) with fire and steel.

The Legions of the Holy Empire are renowned for their discipline, and the forces of Styx are supported by Dark Magic, but the united army of the Free Baronies has experience defeating them.

When The Free Baronies unite against a common enemy, not even the gods can stand against them.
